The essay writing courses focus on analysing texts and writing responses to essay type questions in various formats. Junior courses are based on a novel, which students read before the commencement of the course.

All courses involve at least one writing task per session, which is marked immediately and returned the next day. Marking is very thorough, with line by line analysis and detailed suggestions for improvement.
